STEP Into The Dungeon  ·  Last updated: May 2026

This policy explains what data STEP Into The Dungeon ("the app") collects, how it is used, and how it is stored. The app is developed and published by Jan Aguja.

1. Data We Access

The app requests read access to your step count through Android Health Connect. This is the only health data the app reads. No other health metrics (heart rate, sleep, weight, etc.) are accessed.

2. How Your Data Is Used

Your step count is used solely to power in-game mechanics:

Your health data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the game itself.

3. Data Storage & Transmission

All game state — including your step totals, boss progress, and settings — is stored locally on your device only using Android's standard app storage. No data is transmitted to any server. There is no account system, no backend, and no cloud sync.

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

4. Third-Party Services

The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, or tracking libraries. The only external dependency for health data is Android Health Connect, which is subject to Google's Health Connect Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
